At Big Mack’s Guide Service, every trip is tailored to you. Whether you're looking to chase smallmouth bass on the St. Lawrence River, target trout in hidden Adirondack lakes, or go after panfish and pike through the ice — we’ve got you covered. Anglers are welcome to customize their experience and choose the species they’d like to target.

We can accommodate up to 4 anglers on the boat and up to 6 anglers on ice fishing trips. Just let us know your goals, and we’ll build the perfect adventure around them!

We’re happy to accommodate additional boats for open water trips with groups of 4 or more anglers, just let us know! Whether you're planning a big outing or just need more space, we’ve got you covered. Reach out and we’ll make it happen!

St. Lawrence River

Enjoy a full-day adventure on the legendary St. Lawrence River! Our 7 hour guided river trips are priced at $550 for 2 anglers, with an additional $50 per extra angler (up to 4 total on the boat).

Seasonal Highlights:

  • Spring: Chase perch and walleye as the river comes alive after ice-out.

  • Summer: Target hard-fighting smallmouth bass in warm, clear waters.

  • Fall: Go after monster smallmouth during their aggressive pre-winter feeding frenzy.

Adirondacks Lakes

Escape into the heart of the Adirondacks for a full day of fishing on some of the region’s most scenic and productive inland lakes. These waters offer outstanding multi-species action throughout the seasons. Troll for trout and landlocked salmon in the deep, cool waters perfect for summer-long fishing fun. In May and June, the early smallmouth bass spawn offers some of the best action of the year, with aggressive fish hitting hard in the shallows.

You can also target giant northern pike lurking in weed beds and structure, or go after freezer-fillers like perch and crappie for a fast-paced, tasty trip.

Trips are $500 for 7 hours for 2 anglers, with an additional $50 per extra angler (up to 4 anglers total). All trips are fully customizable based on the season and your fishing goals.

Ice Fishing Trip

When the water freezes, the real fun begins. Our fully guided ice fishing trips give you the chance to customize your experience on either the frozen bays of the St. Lawrence River or the peaceful inland lakes of the Adirondacks — both offering incredible winter fishing opportunities.

On the St. Lawrence River, we’ll set up over prime locations to chase HUGE northern pike and target abundant schools of jumbo perch — perfect for anglers looking for a mix of trophy potential and steady action. For a more secluded experience, head into the Adirondacks, where we’ll be pursuing the elusive rainbow trout and hard-fighting landlocked salmon beneath the ice.

We provide all the gear, heated shelters, and local expertise — you bring the excitement. Ice trips are $500 for 7 hours for 2 anglers, with $50 for each additional angler (up to 6 anglers total). Whether you're in it for the thrill of the fight or just want to enjoy a day outdoors with friends or family, we'll build a trip to match your goals.

Combine the power of the St. Lawrence River with the solitude of the Adirondacks. This package offers a well-rounded fishing experience, perfect for anglers who want to explore both big water and backcountry lakes.

  • One 7-hour guided trip on an Adirondack lake

  • Two nights cabin lodging (May–October availability)

Adirondack Explorer Package – $1,200

Spend two full days fishing the Adirondack’s most scenic and productive inland lakes. This package is ideal for anglers who want a quiet, focused experience with diverse fishing opportunities throughout the seasons.

Includes:

  • Two 7-hour guided trips on Adirondack lakes

  • Two nights lodging at HNH Cabin or Star Lake Cabin (May–October availability)

  • Fish for trout, landlocked salmon, smallmouth bass, northern pike, perch

  • All gear provided

St. Lawrence River Rat Package – $1,400

Focus both days on the St. Lawrence River, known for its consistent action and trophy potential. This package is best for anglers who want to concentrate on mastering the river and targeting its most sought-after species.

Includes:

  • Two 7-hour guided trips on the St. Lawrence River

  • Two nights cabin lodging (May–October availability)
